Consequences after Ikan Bakar

YAY!!!
It's Friday!!!

Just reach home after work and dinner with my collegues... tiring.
Why am I tired? Cos I had stomach upset while driving home.
It was not just stomach upset, it was a very "terrible stomach upset".
Can you imagine the hell I went thru? (very chia-lat)
Speed my way home to get to toilet.
It was definately a sickening experience and I never wanna go thru it again.

Dinner Info
Venue: Ikan Bakar @ near Queensbay; Gold Coast roundabout
Food Ordered:
- Ikan Bakar
- TomYam Campur
- Veggies
- Mussels(La-la)
- Cockles(Ha-rm)
- Fried Squid (Sotong)
- Steam Fish (I like this dish - give 4.5 stars)

Total: RM230 (8 pax)

My rating
Food: 3.5 stars
Environment: 4 stars (given that it wasn't a rainy day)

Currently I'm having second opinions on the cleanliness there.
Had diarrhea after the dinner.
I wasn't the only victim tonight, my collegue tasted the same consequences as well.
I wonder if it's the too many sour food we had or was the food un-clean?
Never had this problem before during my last few trips.
Oh well, I hope I don't go running to toilet again *cry*

Teambuilding Day

Last Friday was a long crazy day.
It started off with teambuilding with all my department people at Penang National Park@ Teluk Bahang.

First, we had a small ice-breaker session with the event coordinator.
It was pouring heavily outside so we spent quite some time indoors.
The initial plan was to hike to Pantai Kerachut(Turtle Beach) and have treasure hunt along the way but, sadly, it rained dogs and cats that day. (Wanna know more? Click here for more info)
However we're allowed to hike anyways but only halfway.

Landed ourselves at Sungai Tukun and came back... took us about 2 hours.
The hiking tracks are all wet and muddy... can you imagine how it looks like after the rain?
And there are swarms of mosquitoe flying around and feeding on all the hikers.
I think I had the worst mosquitoe bites... maybe my blood is delicious enough... *lol*
Compared to Penang Hill, this hill is not as steep.
It was tiring but still feeling much better than hiking up Penang Hill... hehe.
After the hike, we had DURIANS... yummy!
And guess what? It came all the way from Balik Pulau.
The taste of it is just splendid.

Indoors - taking lunch? Raining heavily outside mar...

Welcome to Hutan Lipur - Sungai Tukun (look at our sweaty faces ^^)

Saw Mr. Biawak & Mr. Crab at Sungai Tukun

Durians!!! In hokkien, we call it "lui-lian"

After all our tiring hike, still get price mar... not bad liao la =p

Wee..... Group photo!

Before - clean shoes, lesser shoes
After - dirty shoes, more shoes (I guessed the teambuilding works after all =p)

It was a great teambuilding and I admit that I had a lot of fun! (apart from being bitten by mosquitoes, that is)
After teambuilding, we proceeded to look around and found really great sceneries.
It was misty all around after the heavy rain.
Everyone was definately in the mood for a good "photography session".
Haha... cannot imagine how much fun it was.

Oooh.... look at the mist behind us

Appreciating mother nature's wonderful work

Group pic! Group pic! Eh... mana Yee Lin? Missing In Action already (MIA)

Sigh... too many good pics but I lazy to edit d... haha.
The day did not just end there... the day is still young.
Next, We went for dinner at Faces Steak Garden@ Tanjong Tokong.
If you're looking for good western food with reasonable price along with good ambience in Penang, this is one of the place you should be going.
It was still early then so there was no song performance.
(hehe... missed the time when I performed a song on that stage for my friend, Jenny)

(no pics for dinner@ Faces? sigh...)

So, after that I would have called it a day, wrapped it up and go home for a good rest.
BUT the "day is still young" (or is it?)

Still can go for karaoke? Serious?

But we went anyway... haha.
All of us must have gone crazy =p

Yup... and the fun continues...

Nope... he's not drunk, but he's a damn funny guy... hahaha =p

Wanna know who is the guy in the above photo?
Ask me... he's still single.
*wahahaha*

Can't imagine going for Karaoke session after taking all those heaty durians after the hike.
The next day I woke up, I sounded like a frog.
So the karaoke session went on until almost 4am.
It was crazy but I had a blast.

After karaoke, we still went looking for a place to yumchar.
Ended up reaching home at about 5am.

giler....
Luckily not working on Saturday =p

Randomness

My weekend was okay... dear was up in Penang for the weekend.
Good thing that I'm not home alone 'cos my family went down to Pangkor for the weekend.
Watched "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" at Gurney Plaza.
Did not do much that weekend, had to be home to do the housework since my mum wasn't around.
A little bored but it was okay... at least get plenty of rest at home.
Was planning to go Bukit Bendera during the weekend but that did not happen.
Had a few things in mind to do for the weekend; but did not happen as well... haiz....
Maybe some other time...

Stumbled on a really cool site today.
It let you listen to music that defines your mood.
There are all kinds of genres to pick from and right from the 50's to current hits.
To all music lovers, you may want to bookmark this site: Musicovery.com

(That's the whole idea of hitting the gym anyway =p)
Arghh... it's late.
Junping off to bed now. Niteyz.

Perodua Nautica

Perodua has launched their new 4WD SUV this week - Perodua Nautica.
Looks to me like an upgraded version of Perodua Kembara.
Funny thing was the conversation between my dad and sis about the car:
Dad: Perodua launched their 4WD SUV today. Perodua Nautica.
Sis : Wow... that's great(?) Perodua launched a "naughty car"
Dad: Ya.
Sis : What is the name of the car?
Dad: It's Nautica.
Sis : Err... Naughty car? *giggles*

19" Widescreen LCD Monitor

Finally I'm upgrading from my old 17" CRT monitor to a 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor today.
Won it from a Dell auction and it costs only RM350.
Currently the retail price for the monitor is around RM680.
Even though it is refurbished but yet, great performance and it's exactly like new.
It is also under warranty (for 1 year if I'm not mistaken) so what more can I ask.
*weeeeee....*

Mood: Feeling lucky *chuckles*
Listening to: Delilah (my dad's listening to that song now =.=")

Sudoku-Ace @ Facebook

I've been playing Sudoku-Ace at Facebook recently and finding it real addictive.
Definately would recommend this game to all SUDOKU-LOVERS out there =D

What's most interesting is there are 3 different set of tiles to choose from.
There is the traditional number, Chinese characters and SUSHI!!!
Personally I would think that the SUSHI tiles are much more interesting compared to the others.
(Deliciously interesting perhaps? *lol*)
However the background music for this game is kinda annoying after listening to it for some time. It makes my head spin so it would be smart to mute it.

Numbers VS. Sushi?

This game is a great way to kill time, especially if you're bored at office *winkz*
Playing this game certainly eats up lots of patients; so for you guys out there who aren't patient enough, this is one of the training grounds for you.
BTW, a good way to exercise your brain as well.

Sudoku-ing is the only thing I do in Facebook nowadays.
I have 1448 requests currently pending and it always hang when I try to open the request page.
Oh well, anyhow I still have my Sudoku *muakz*

Realize (by Colbie Caillat)

This is my latest song craze.
I can't get the song outta my head.
Come sing along with me XD (wee......)

[V1:]
Take time to realize,
That your warmth is
crashing down on in.

Take time to realize,
That I am on your side
Didn't I, Didn't I tell you.

But I can't spell it out for you,
No it's never gonna be that simple
No I cant spell it out for you

[Chorus:]
If you just realize what I just realized,
Then we'd be perfect for each other
And will never find another
Just realized what I just realized
We'd never have to wonder if
We missed out on each other now.

[V2:]
Take time to realize
Oh-oh I'm on your side
Didn't I, didn't I tell you.

Take time to realize
This all can pass you by..
Didn't I tell you

But I can't spell it out for you,
No its never gonna be that simple
No I can't spell it out for you.

[Chorus:]
If you just realized what I just realized
Then we'd be perfect for each other
Then we'd never find another
Just realized what I just realized
We'd never have to wonder if
We missed out on each other now.

[V3:]
It's not always the same
No it's never the same
If you don't feel it to.

If you meet me half way
If you would meet me half way.
It could be the same for you.

[Chorus:]
If you just realized what I just realized
Then we'd be perfect for each other
Then we'd never find another
Just realized what I just realized
We'd never have to wonder

Just realized what I just realized
OoOoOOo
Missed out on each other now
Missed out on each other now

New Beginning

Something that I've learnt:
Past memories may not be erased...
BUT blog posts can definately be erased!!!
LOL

Here's a toast to a new beginning to the new chapter of my life.
Cheers ~
