Hancock + Made of Honor

It's been quite awhile since I last updated my blog.
Feels like there's so many things that I've left out.
Now I'm gonna have to fly back to the first weekend on July '08.. haha.

My dear was up in Penang the previous weekend.
We manage to watch 2 movies that weekend.
Hancock @ Sunway Carnival and Made of Honor @ Gurney Plaza.
Tickets for Hancock was cheaper than Made of Honor.
Just because it was at different location.
Can't believe I had to pay more for an older movie compare to the new one.
So ridiculous.

My small talk on both movies:

Hancock

  • Cool movie starring Will Smith & Charlize Theron
  • This superhero is very human. I like that =D
  • Great power comes great responsibility (... quote from Spiderman? =p)
  • Reminds me of other "superhero" movies... how come the citizens do not complain about the mess the "superheroes" made? (except for "The Incredibles"... the one that I know of)
  • Not everybody is so fortunate to be together with the ones they love... even if they were meant for each other. In the end, you still need to face reality. (let me reflect on this...)
  • Love can make you strong and weak at the same time. (not only happens to Hancock..)

Made of Honor

  • Starring Patrick Dempsey (I love his eyes) & Michelle Monaghan (she's gorgeous)
  • Reminds me of "My Best Friend's Wedding"... just it was the other way around.
  • Sometimes you do not realize you're in love with the person until you realize you were about to lose him/her.
  • Romantic comedy's are fun

Ice Ice Baby @ AutoCity, Juru

Wanted (2008)

Finally I was able to watch "Wanted" on my 2nd attempt... lol.
Great Jolie movie I would say... cannot imagine having bullet-bending talent on me.. haha.
Reminds me of playing tennis when they bend the bullet.. so cool.
Overall rating: 4 stars

Posing with foood... (Ice Ice Baby @ AutoCity)

Went to Ice Ice Baby @AutoCity, Juru with Sze Ni and Lee May on last Wednesday night after accomplishing my mission of watching "Wanted". We had a nice long chat until ppl wan tutup kedai only cabut. Girls, we have to do this more often... haha.

My pals... peace out~

Beautiful lightings... nice environment to juz chill out and talk

The fooood we ordered.....

Fried Cheese Chicken : can taste that it's definately "fried" bcos it's crispy
Fried Tofu : I prefered this dish compared to the others
BBQ Pizza : You know, nothing beats the pizza from Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut still the best =p
Cheese Brocolli : Menu picture look like big portion but the real thing is actually not that convincing. Do not quite fancy the way-too-cheesy taste of it.

Desserts... yummm..... love the Mixed Fruit Snowy Mountain :9
However I don't fancy Mango... everybody, plz take note... hahaha (perasan-ness)

love the desserts [full-stop]
love the environment [full-stop]

Looking forward for another round of Ice Ice Baby
(for the desserts, at least =D )

Leisure Friday

New Starbitez Pizza advert!

Went for Starbitez Pizza @ Pizza Hut last Friday for lunch with KK.
Took Super Supreme flavour for the pizza. Yummm...
The pizza has "fingers" which are actually mini hot-dogs.
It was sliced into "heart shape"... and I find that rather amusing... haha
Or maybe I'm just easily amused =p

Heart-shape pizza

Went for Tepanyaki dinner @ Yaki Teppan in Sg. Nibong with collegues and meeting up with Lay Ching.
It was a pleasant dinner and I had my tummy filled up to the max as the portion was huge.
Had combination of chicken, fish and prawn tepanyaki.
It was a set dinner and it comes with garlic rice, salad, miso soup, fried wanton, jelly (for dessert) and juice.

After dinner some of us went for movie.
Supposed to be watching "Wanted" by Angelina Jolie but.......

The ticket bought online was for Thursday's movie!

Hahaha...

(Tan was feeling very TL... definately not his day... ~.~
maybe he woke up from the wrong side of the bed... hehe)

But I guess when we began to look back on this incident in the future, we'll have a good laugh at it =D
No worries.

So finally we did not manage to watch "Wanted" but we went for "The Happening" instead.
It started out grusome. And the grusome-ness continues.... *lol*
"The Happening" tells of a certain pollen or chemical which is released from plants.
These pollen firstly cripples the human/animal brain which causes the malfunction of action and speech.
It then triggers the brain to pursue suicide!

Can you imagine everyone around you suddenly dies by commiting suicide?
Can you imagine the odour of dead bodies lying around everywhere?
This really makes me sick to the stomach.

But this story makes me think...
This is how humans have been treating nature and the environment all these while.
We should all put some effort to save our nature and environment.
What if one day nature comes back for its' revenge? *evil*
